Finallyit is over and I survived. All the booms and bangs kind of gets on a dogs nerves and last night was really bad! Mom said it was the Fourth of July, what ever that means. Hey it is just another noisy day if you are a dog.
Dad and I started the day by mowing the lawn. I should say that dad mowed and I walked around with him, supervising his efforts. It was nice until the sun started beating down on this black dog and I chose to go into the coolness of the shade.
When dad and I were mowing the back yard, mom came back from whereever she went with a car full of sacks of food. Oh joyous fun. I could smell delightful smells in those bags and wanted to help with every sack.
Before mom and dad ate lunch (and shared potato chips with me), mom decided that it was bathtime for me. Funny, I don't remember that I was asked if I wanted a bath. It wasn't as much fun as say a run in the river but she seemed to be happy when she finished with me.
I didn't get a walk yesterday. Mom said that there were too many bangs and booms and way too many people at the river. From all the bangs and booms around the house, I was wondering how many more would be goingoff at the river.
It was a nice and sunny day yesterday, and I am hoping for the same today. And maybe a walk?
